This client is a large manufacturer of Cement in Australia.
They operate a dedicated research system that produces test materials and some limited production of specialized batches that include additives such as Bentonite. They wanted a storage and transport system for these ingredients.
In partnership with Control Automation in Australia ISL recommended they used an IBC system to collect the materials from existing on-site Silos. Since the materials involved in cementation products are prone to bridging and ratholing and fibrous materials also highly prone to flow problems Control Automation recommended the ISL Cone Valve system to ensure delivery to the dense phase receiver.
The design of the “Microveyor” is such that it only conveys a few kilos at a time, therefore the ISL discharge system must accurately dose consistent amounts into the receiver. The system works well delivering materials consistently to this vital function for the client.
