Formulations

ISL Technologies offers fully customizable IBC formulation systems designed to handle complex multi-ingredient batching and blending processes. Whether for small-scale operations or large industrial plants, ISL takes full design responsibility, integrating support structures and components such as: Silos, Dust collectors, Vacuum/pressure conveying systems, Roller conveyors, chain conveyors, and AGVs This modular approach ensures that each formulation system is tailored to the specific needs of the product, process, and facility layout.

A typical ISL formulation system for the food industry includes:

  • Six Discharge/Dosing Stations arranged in a carousel.
  • Each station feeds ingredients through angled pipes into a Formulation IBC.
  • The Formulation IBC sits on a weigh platform that controls dosing via a central     controller.
  • Once the batch is complete, the BC is transferred to an ISL Tumble Blender for mixing.
  • Final product is sent to ISL Dosing/Packing Station for packaging.

Weighing Modes

  • GIW (Gain-in-Weight): Ingredients are added sequentially to the Formulation IBC.
  • LIW (Loss-in-Weight): Each station has load cells for simultaneous dosing from multiple IBCs.

Flexible Layouts

  • Carousel, single-line, or dual-line configurations.
  • Conveyance via chain conveyors, roller tracks, or AGVs depending on space and  automation needs.

ISL’s formulation systems are engineered to meet stringent allergen control protocols:

  • Sealed Discharge Stations: Prevent airborne allergen spread during dosing.
  • Dedicated Ingredient IBCs: Assign specific containers to allergen-containing ingredients.
  • Validated Cleaning: CIP and COP options ensure thorough cleaning between batches.
  • Batch Segregation: Supports allergen-free zones and traceable product handling.cone valve
